CHEMICAL PROFILE AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF BALSAMIC FIR PASTE
Rubrics: AGRONOMY
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The aim of the study is to identify the biological activity of balsam fir paste (BFP) as a potential fertilizer under various biomodel conditions, taking into account the chemical profile of the object. Objectives: analysis of the chemical parameters of balsam fir paste and their correlation with literature data on the composition of typical fertilizers with contrasting properties (peat is an organic substrate, vermiculite is a mineral complex); assessment of the biological activity of balsam fir paste at dose intervals of "milli", "centi", "deci" using biomodels of germination (seed germination rate) and cellular respiration (yeast manometry); determination of the dose dependence of the antioxidant activity of balsam fir paste in the Fenton reaction medium for modeling free-radical chemical processes. The object of the study was balsam fir paste, obtained as a by-product during the steam distillation of fir oil at the production site of the Sakhachev Industrial Forest Raw Materials Processing Plant. The paste was obtained from Siberian fir greenery collected near the village of Balakhton, Kozulsky District, Krasnoyarsk Region. Chemical analysis of the balsam fir paste revealed that it is a concentrate of essential organic and inorganic compounds and contains minerals with potential adaptogenic activity. The balsam paste contains ultra-microelements in combinations necessary for the functioning of antioxidant mechanisms in agrocenoses biosystems. The high content of biologically active components allows the balsam paste to be used with dilutions of at least 10 to 100 times. Biomodels were used to clarify the dilution range of the physiological effects of balsam paste on living systems. The chemical composition of balsam fir paste exceeded that of agronomic materials such as peat and vermiculite, given that the effective application dose range of balsam paste is in the millimeter range.
