Scientific biography of A.V. Krivoshein (1857-1921), famous statesman in pre-revolutionary Russia, the Chief Commander of land management and agriculture (1908-1915), Chairman of the Russian Government of the South (1920). We have shown his role in the development and implementation of agrarian reform in Russia, known as Stolypin agrarian reform. The authors show that A.V. Krivoshein did not have the aim of using resettlement to Sibe-ria and defusing the agrarian affair in the center of the country. His main goal in organizing the resettlement was the idea of lasting settlement of Si-beria. After death of P.A. Stolypin who was the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, , in 1911, A.V. Krivoshein not only retained his position as the chief steward in land management and agriculture, but also for some time was the "de facto prime minister" of the tsarist government. Prior to his retire-ment in 1915, A.V. Krivoshein had a significant impact on the socio-economic policies pursued by the Chairmen of the Council of Ministers of Russia and V.N. Kokovtsov and I.D. Goremykin. It was A.V. Krivoshein, who became “behind the scenes” the organizer of the combined majority in the IV State Duma - Progressive Bloc. The study details the activities of A.V. Krivoshein as one of the prominent leaders of the White movement. A.V. Krivoshein was actual organizer of anti-Soviet organization "Right Centre", in November 1918 he was the chairman of Iasi conference held in Romania, i.e. the meet-ing at which the representatives of White movement, the Volunteer Army and the Entente countries tried to develop the program of elimination the power of the Bolsheviks in Russia. In 1920 A.V. Krivoshein at the personal request of General Wrangel took over as the Chairman of the Crimean gov-ernment. In the final part of the study e we analyze in detail the activities of A.V. Krivoshein in this position.
